Application Process
Assessment
The Parent or guardian must pay the assessment fee of R700 (non-refundable) and send the proof of payment to charmaine@sparrowportal.co.za to confirm the booking of the assessment. The purpose of the assessment is to determine whether Sparrow Combined Technical Skills School can meet the needs of the learner.
Acceptance
After your child has been assessed, the parents or guardian will be advised either on the day of assessment or within 3 working days as to whether or not the learner has been accepted into our school.

Sparrow Combined Technical Skills School
Hospitality or Wholesale and Retail classes
Learners spend 75% of their time doing practical work and getting a real-life understanding of what it means to pursue a career within that industry. The other 25% of their time is spent in the classroom learning the theory behind the practical. On top of our practical learning, Sparrow Combined Technical Skills School also offers new innovative lessons and a supportive curriculum which has improved the learner’s ability to engage effectively with their school work.
